Maes Hughes
Maes Hughes is a lieutenant colonel in the Amestrian military, working in the Investigations Office at Central Command, where his intelligence and sharp investigative skills make him invaluable to uncovering conspiracies within the government. Despite his cheerful, lighthearted nature, Hughes is a seasoned soldier with combat experience from the Ishvalan Civil War and is highly skilled with throwing knives, his signature weapon. What defines Hughes most, however, is his devotion to his family—his wife, Gracia, and his young daughter, Elicia—whom he proudly talks about and shows pictures of at every opportunity.
